Wilco: Ashes of American Flags DVD

On April 14th, Wilco will release a new DVD Ashes of American Flags, documenting their tour support of the Sky Blue Sky album. Directed by Fugazi's Brendan Canty and Christoph Green, the road movie captures Wilco has they criss-cross America on tour for most of 2007 - 2008 in the final years of the George W. Bush era.

Black Keys' Auerbach Readies Solo Album

Guitarist/singer Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys is preparing to release his first solo album in early 2009. According to a press release from Nonesuch records, Keep it Hid will be released on February 10, 2009, and be supported by a tour.

"This record is a mixture of things I like to listen to, psychedelia, soul music, country harmonies," Auerbach says in the release. Recorded at Auerbach's personal studio, Keep It Hid features contributions from Auerbach's friends and family.

Black Keys to Release DVD

"Live at the Crystal Ballroom" DVD to be released November 18th



The Black Keys will release a live DVD documenting their sold-out April 4, 2008 show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR through their label Nonesuch Records. Directed by Lance Bangs (who directed R.E.M.'s Road Movie) the DVD will include 17 songs, plus original music videos for "Your Touch", "Just Got To Be" and "Strange Times", as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the band's 2008 album Attack & Release.
