Public Service Announcement: Record Store Day 2010

Records stores...remember them? Despite the death of Tower Records, Sam Goody and other national chains, records stores are still around.

For those of you who still enjoy walking the aisles in search of that elusive new musical find, national Record Store Day 2010 is approaching. On April 17th, visit your favorite local record store and enjoy the celebration. Ron Asheton RIP




















According to numerous online sources, legendary Stooges guitarist/bassist Ron Asheton was found dead at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, today. He was 60. While autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending, local law enforcement suspect Asheton died of a heart attack and was dead for a few days until being discovered.

The Stooges reunited in 2003 with Minuteman bassist Mike Watt and toured off and on for several years. The band released an album of all new material The Weirdness in 2007.

RIP Ron.
