Numerous blogs on the interweb have posted a release date of August 19th for the release of The Verve's new album. While both the band and record label EMI have not confirmed this, it could be correct.
Friends/fellow Brit Poppers Oasis have slated October as the release month for the follow up album to 2005s Don't Believe the Truth, and my guess is that neither band wants to compete for album sales in this post-Napster download world.
Now if we could just get some info on a full North American tour, that would be ace.
