Jane's Reunites...Again (this time w/ Avery)

According to sites like The Velvetrope and HitsDailyDouble, the members of Jane's Addiction will reunite on April 23, 2008, at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles to receive the "Godlike Genius Award" at the first-ever U.S. NME Awards.

As we at Harmonious Feedback are still trying to wash out the image of guitarist Dave Navarro whoring himself out to reality TV's Rockstar Supernova schlockfest, the saving grace in this news is that original bassist Eric Avery has agreed to take part in the ceremony and the band's performance at the El Rey Theatre. Hopefully, nothing from Jane's last steaming turd of an album Strays will be performed, and instead the band will perform tracks from the year's Avery was in the band.

From HitsDaily: "Avery has continually declined offers to reunite with the band and instead focused on his musical endeavors, most recently, a debut solo LP, "Help Wanted", released last week on Dangerbird Records. "I've chosen to reject the prospects of reuniting in the past for personal and philosophical reasons. I have always considered reunions to be a way to make a quick buck, and it sells short my own experience of it the first time around," Eric Avery attests. He adds, "The reason I started to even consider this is because it's honoring the past instead of trying to recreate it."

If it wasn't for that last quote I would say they'd be playing new stuff. Bass player has a point. At least some one has some common sense not to sell out.
